Promotion of useless and damaged mirrors

Ltd Stikla Serviss, in cooperation with the manager of used packaging and environmentally harmful goods “Zaļā josta”, has for several years carried out a campaign to collect unnecessary mirrors from residents, reusing them, saving resources and reducing environmental pollution.

Returning mirrors to recycling effectively contributes to the economy, reduces the amount of landfill waste and contributes to environmental protection. Some donated mirrors retain harmful coatings that can harm the environment if mishandled. Mirror restoration by recycling helps reduce CO2 emissions in the atmosphere, delaying climate change. This campaign has reduced CO2 emissions by around 6.8 tonnes.

 

Evidence of sustainable best practice

The “Energovienoti” label has been introduced as a proof of sustainable best practice for economic operators, companies, state and local government institutions, as well as organizations of various sectors.  With its help, companies and organizations with a high level of energy literacy are identified and awarded, whose activity can be considered an example of good practice.

Ltd Stikla Serviss in cooperation with RTU VASSI has received the “Energovienoti” label as a proof of sustainable best practice, which confirms the company’s high level of energy literacy.
